| | MEMBERSHIP | |
| | As per section 16C of the Housing Development (Control And Licensing ) Act 1966 ( Act 118 ) 2007, stating Tribunal shall consist of following members : | |
| |  | A Chairman and a Deputy Chairman to be appointed by the Minister from amongst members of the Judicial and Legal Service ; and | |
| |
| | | Not less than five other members to be appointed by the Minister from amongst are members of or who have held office in Judicial and Legal Service or advocates and solicitors admitted and enrolled under the Legal Profession Act 1976, the Advocates Ordinances of Sabah or the Advocates Ordinance of Sarawak and who have not less than seven years’ standing. | |

| | SOURCE OF POWER | |
| | | | TTPR shall have jurisdiction to determine a claim from the house buyers provided: | | | | | | | The claim shall be filed at TTPR not later than 12 months from the date of; | | | | | | | | | i) | The issuance of Certificate of Fitness for Occupation (CFO); or | | | | | ii) | The expiry of Defect Liability Period as stated in the Sale and Purchase Agreement. | | | | | | | | | Sale and Purchase Agreement involving housing accommodation built on the land categorized for residency building. | | | | | | | | | Every claim shall not exceed RM50,000.00 for every cause of action except: | | | | | | | | | i) | The claimant agrees to discontinue the total balance of the claim; or | | | | | ii) | With the consent of the developer in writing for the hearing in TTPR. | | | | | | | For the Sale and Purchase Agreement entered before 1st December 2002, it shall be eligible for consideration in view of: | | | | | | | | | i) | The claim shall fulfill the conditions mentioned above. | |
