Garis Panduan Perancangan dan Reka Bentuk Perumahan Kos Rendah (Bagi Semua Jenis Rumah Kecuali Rumah Pangsa)
Garis panduan ini telah menggariskan piawaian-piawaian minimum yang perlu dipatuhi oleh semua pihak yang terlibat di dalam pembangunan projek perumahan kos rendah sama ada di sektor awam ataupun sektor swasta. Penekanan adalah diberi kepada keperluan-keperluan perancangan seperti saiz lot unit kediaman, anjak undur bangunan, kemudahan letak kereta, kemudahan sosial dan kemasyarakatan serta keperluan-keperluan reka bentuk bangunan dan infrastruktur seperti keluasan lantai, pemasangan elektrik, rizab jalan, sistem saliran dan sistem pembetungan. Garis panduan ini akan dapat mempercepatkan proses perancangan dan penyediaan pelan serta mempercepatkan proses kelulusan pelan bangunan oleh Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan.

Pemilihan Pembeli dan Penyewa Rumah Kos Rendah di bawah Sistem Pendaftaran Terbuka
Program perumahan kos rendah yang dilaksanakan oleh sektor awam dan swasta bertujuan untuk menyediakan kemudahan kediaman kepada golongan yang berpendapatan rendah supaya matlamat Kerajaan untuk meningkatkan kualiti hidup rakyat dan membasmi kemisikinan. Walau bagaimanapun, terdapat kes-kes di mana golongan yang berpendapatan tinggi telah memiliki rumah kos rendah. Kes-kes ini timbul akibat kecuaian pengawasan dan kawalan pengagihan rumah kos rendah. Rencana ini menyentuh tentang pengujudan satu sistem pendaftaran yang seragam dan berkesan serta mempastikan program-program ini dimanfaat oleh golongan sasaran.

Housing in the New Millennium - Malaysian Perspective
Vision 2020 calls for the formation of a Malaysian society that is fully developed in all dimensions, not only economically progressive but is also united, socially cohesive and just, politically stable, enjoys high quality of life, rich in social and spiritual values, proud and confident. These are the qualities that will create a united Malaysian nation with a confident society infused by strong moral and ethical values, living in a society that is democratic, liberal and tolerant in nature, caring, economically just and equitable, progressive and prosperous and in full possession of an economy that is competitive, dynamic, robust, resilient and socially just. The National Development Policy (NDP) under the Second Outline Perspective Plan (OPP2) sets the pace to fulfill that vision.

Toward Successful Housing Development In Malaysia
Housing is a major concern for all people in every corner of the world as the wellbeing of a country is reflected in its people enjoying a certain standard of living. Among the indicators of wellbeing is housing which provides shelter as well as being a major potential for expanding the construction industry, generating jobs and contributing to capital formation. The construction industry including housing contributed about 3.4% of Gross Domestic Product of Malaysia for the year 2000.
